Maybe pretty isn’t the right word. What about: when do you feel most beautiful? Most empowered? Sexiest?
It’s a question I asked myself after watching the rom-com “I feel pretty”. It’s a very predictable plot line and I’m not going to bore you with the details, if you want, you can watch it for yourself on Netflix. But the essential message is, you’re already beautiful, strong and sexy. You just have to have the confidence to see that beauty for yourself. But it got me thinking, so when is it I feel most beautiful?
Two words. Wild Camping. An activity which fills my cup up, reminds me of my appreciation for quietness (a surprise to all) and that the best sleep is always had under canvas. It’s been a while since I took my little green tent up a hill for an nighttime adventure. But due to good weather, a very special visitor and my mum having the day after off work we took the opportunity for a little getaway with gusto.
Hay up, I’ve moved house… again! I am now living in what will be my house for the rest of my degree, which seems pretty crazy. It might be a bit of an understatement to say I love it. Although I’ve been here over a week and the boiler is still a mystery to me. I think it always will be. I’ve been pretty busy over the last month, what with the Christmas period, going away and working. So, I’ll give you a little round up.
I often get asked questions about living in Australia, so I thought I’d compile a handy list of the most frequently asked questions. I’m afraid I don’t have much insight on living anywhere other than Sydney!
Needless to say doing a season is not for the faint hearted there’s a lot of hard work involved just to get a few more hours on the mountain, and let me tell you working on a hangover is not fun. There’s a lot of toilets to scrub, dishes to be polished and arses to be licked; but if your game, then without a doubt it will be the most fun filled 5 months of your life.
Cue the weirdest week of my life. Daisy and I were supposed to be road tripping from Surrey to Biarritz on the French/Spanish border, which is exactly what we did. Although it didn’t quite go how we expected. Flexibility and a willingness to say “yes” were both invaluable qualities required on this trip!
